S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 To increase the visibility of halal products made in Brazil and business opportunities, the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC<\/a>) participated in the Makkah Halal Forum in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, from February 25 to 27. The institution participated in the event at the Brazil booth alongside FAMBRAS Halal, Eco Halal, CDIAL Halal, Brazilian Gate, and Halal Academy. It was represented by Secretary-General and International Relations Vice President Mohamad Mourad, who highlighted that the Brazilian booth was the only Latin American one at the exhibition, and by International Business Executive Ahmed Kamal.<\/p>\n\n\n

According to Kamal, who works from the ABCC\u2019s office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the Makkah forum brought together global halal industry stakeholders to discuss sector development and showcase products and services for this market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ABCC, in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), spearheads the Halal do Brasil project, which promotes made-in-Brazil food and beverages fit for Muslim consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brazil is the world\u2019s largest producer of halal meat, despite not being a Muslim-majority country itself. \u201cThe Chamber\u2019s focus at the event was to promote halal products from its Brazilian member companies,\u201d said Kamal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the executive said the institution aimed to expand business opportunities for Brazilian companies, increase brand visibility, market expansion, and establish relationships and partnerships at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
