The Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Heating (Abrava) will promote the meeting alongside the Brazilian Export Promotion Agency (Apex) during the International Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Heating and Air Treatment Trade Fair (Febrava), due September 20th to 23rd at the Imigrantes Exhibition Centre.

The roundtable is part of the Abrava Exporta program, developed by the Abrava and the Apex to promote foreign sales by the industry. The meeting should be attended by buyers from South America, Central America, the Middle East and Africa. The countries have not been completely defined yet, but according to the technical manager of the Abrava Exporta program, Leila Vasconcellos, importers from Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, in the Emirates, and from North Africa will probably be present. The buyers will be invited according to the demand on the part of the attending Brazilians, who are still enrolling.

“The Arab market is quite interesting. The Emirates, for example, are interested in renewable energy. The sector is important to them. There is also the cooling of large shopping centers,” says Leila. The Middle East is one of the targets of the Abrava Exporta program and the participating companies already sell to the region, according to the manager. Last year, a leading distributor of the segment in Asia, North Africa and the Emirates participated in the roundtables and began importing from Brazilian manufacturing companies.

Abrava Exporta started being implemented in 2004 and comprises approximately 20 companies. The group exports the equivalent of US$ 4 million a year and, according to Leila, export revenues grew by 148% in 2010 compared with the year before. In addition to promoting roundtables in Brazil, for which it invites importers, the program also takes national companies overseas, for similar meetings, and organizes companies’ trips to fairs in other countries. Meetings have been promoted in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Colombia.

The companies in the group, the manager explains, are small- and medium-sized. The roundtables should receive 14 importers this year, and Brazilian companies in the industry may enrol up until August 30th. However, they must either be enrolled or enrol for the Abrava Exporta program. The meetings will take place from September 21st to 23rd, and will be individual and scheduled in advance.

Serviço

Abrava Business Roundtable
September 21st to 23rd
At the Febrava fair, Imigrantes Exhibition Centre – São Paulo
Information and enrolment: abravaexporta@abrava.com.br or www.abrabaexporta.com.br
Call Abrava: (+55 11) 3361-7266

*Translated by Gabriel Pomerancblum

Middle Eastern and North African importers should attend a business roundtable for refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heating due September, held by sector organizations Abrava and Apex.

[107

0":"post-38654","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-business-opportunities
Middle Eastern and North African importers should attend a business roundtable for refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heating due September, held by sector organizations Abrava and Apex.
["GET
