{"id":389609,"date":"2025-05-30T13:36:15","date_gmt":"2025-05-30T16:36:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=389609"},"modified":"2025-05-30T13:36:20","modified_gmt":"2025-05-30T16:36:20","slug":"brazils-fertilizer-imports-from-algeria-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/brazils-fertilizer-imports-from-algeria-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Brazil\u2019s fertilizer imports from Algeria up"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Brazil\u2019s imports of fertilizer from Algeria increased year-over-year from January to April of this year, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.br\/mdic\/pt-br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mdic<\/a><\/strong>) figures compiled by the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ccab.org.br\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s Market Intelligence Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Year-to-date through April saw USD 54.6 million in fertilizer imports from the Arab country, up 44.2% from a year ago. Fertilizers rank second on the list of Brazil\u2019s imports from Algeria, the first being oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imports also went up for salt, sulfur, stones, cement, and quicklime, to USD 10.6 million, up 175.8% year-over-year. Sales of inorganic chemicals, glass and cork from Algeria to Brazil also went up at a time when both imports and exports are decreasing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From January to April, oil sales from Algeria to Brazil amounted to US$ 340.02 million, down 29.9% year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brazil\u2019s total imports from Algeria came out to USD 413.8 million through April, down 21.98% from a year ago.
