{"id":39010,"date":"2011-08-16T14:20:00","date_gmt":"2011-08-16T16:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/escaesco.com.br\/lab\/anba\/committee-to-set-targets-for-airports\/"},"modified":"2019-06-30T13:26:01","modified_gmt":"2019-06-30T16:26:01","slug":"committee-to-set-targets-for-airports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/committee-to-set-targets-for-airports\/","title":{"rendered":"Committee to set targets for airports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bras\u00edlia \u2013 By the end of the year, the National Committee of Airport Authorities (Conaero), established this Tuesday (16th) by the Brazilian government, will set targets for Brazilian airports, such as the maximum waiting time for check-in lines, getting passports checked and luggage retrieval after disembarking. \u201cWe are concerned with having airports operate better and more adequately,\u201d said the chief minister at the Secretariat of Civil Aviation, Wagner Bittencourt.<\/p>\n<p> The Conaero will be in charge of elaborating norms, managing the work of various organizations that operate at the airports, and monitor the meeting of the targets. The government decree also establishes authorities to operate on a daily basis at the airports. These authorities will be an upgrade of existing structures, which are the Airport Management Centres.<\/p>\n<p> The authorities will be coordinated by the Brazilian Airport Infrastructure Company (Infraero) and comprised of organizations already active at airports, such as the Federal Police, the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) and the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa). Because they incorporate existing structures, they will not create a demand for more positions and civil servants, according to Bittencourt.<\/p>\n<p> The airport authorities will be present at the international airports of Bras\u00edlia (Juscelino Kubitschek), Belo Horizonte (Confins), S\u00e3o Paulo\u2019s two airports (Guarulhos and Congonhas) and the two in Rio de Janeiro (Gale\u00e3o and Santos Dumont).
