S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Lebanese Brazilian advertising executive Roberto Duailibi died on Friday (18) at the age of 89 and was buried on Saturday (19) at Morumbi Cemetery in S\u00e3o Paulo. Duailibi was one of the most awarded professionals in Brazilian advertising and founded the respected agency DPZ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBrazilian advertising has lost one of its founding fathers. Duailibi left us just a few months before turning 90. He was much more than the founder of DPZ. He was a thinker, a brilliant writer, a creator of culture, a builder of brands,\u201d reads an excerpt from the message DPZ posted on its Instagram on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to being a leading advertising executive, Duailibi dedicated himself extensively to preserving the memory of Lebanese immigration to Brazil. He created the FamilyD Study Center, through which he researched the immigration history of his family, the Duailibi. In 2021, he donated more than 1,000 items \u2014 including books, maps, documents, and other materials \u2014 from this collection to the Arab House, the sociocultural arm of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Duailibi was also a professor, sociologist, speaker, and author of books that became milestones in the history of Brazilian advertising, including Criatividade & marketing <\/em>[Creativity & Marketing], which he co-authored, and Cartas a um jovem publicit\u00e1rio<\/em> [Letters to a Young Advertiser].
