Figures disclosed by the Brazilian Association of Motorcycle, Autocycle, Scooter and Bicycle Manufacturers (Abraciclo) show that 202,851 units were sold on the domestic market, 8.8% more than in September 2008, the record month up to now.<\/p>\n<p> According to figures disclosed by Abraciclo on Thursday (8), in August there was 25.8% growth as against July, and 24% as against August 2010.<\/p>\n<p> Motorcycle production in August was also record: 217,642 units, expansion of 35.8% over July, 25.8% over the same month in 2010 and 3.5% over the best result to date, recorded in September 2008.<\/p>\n<p> In the accumulated result for 2011, however, production is smaller than in the same period in 2008 \u2013 prior to the international financial crisis -, and the best year for the sector to date.
