In the first half of the year and over the last four quarters, GDP grew 2.5% and 3.2%, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GDP\u2014the total value of goods and services produced in the country\u2014was released Tuesday morning (2) by Brazil\u2019s statistics agency <a href=\"https:\/\/agenciabrasil.ebc.com.br\/tags\/ibge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IBGE<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the agency, Brazil\u2019s GDP totaled BRL 3.2 trillion (USD 589 billion).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GDP can be calculated from the production perspective (performance of economic activities) or the consumption perspective (spending and investment).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the quarter, from the supply side, growth in services (0.6%) and industry (0.5%) offset a 0.1% decline in agriculture.
