One is early childhood, with initiatives to ensure expanded access to learning and the quality services needed during this period. The other stage is adolescence, aiming to strengthen opportunities for young people in education and skills development, among other areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new plan was developed over the past year through a process involving government agencies, civil society, and other partners. In a statement during the UNICEF Executive Board meeting, delivered virtually, Oman\u2019s Minister of Social Development, Laila Ahmed Al Najjar, spoke about the country\u2019s commitment to advancing children\u2019s rights and the shared priorities in the Middle East and North Africa, highlighting support for parents and caregivers, as well as the protection of children in the digital space and in armed conflicts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOnly through sustained investment in policies, programs and peace can we create safe, supportive and nurturing environments for children,\u201d Minister Al Najjar said at the meeting, according to ONA.
