The Libyan archaeological site of Leptis Magna is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is located in a municipality called Al Khums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EU said that the initiative aims to preserve the integrity of Libyan archaeological sites, assess the challenges and risks of these spaces, and develop the necessary infrastructure to accommodate a growing number of visitors in the coming years. \u201cPreserving history, creating opportunities, and highlighting the richness of Libyan communities are at the heart of the partnership between the European Union and Libya,\u201d said the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leptis Magna is located 100 kilometers from Libya\u2019s capital Tripoli and was declared a World Heritage site in 1982. Considered one of the most beautiful cities of the Roman world, its ruins include temples, a market square, an amphitheater, and other structures.
