During the event, executives, researchers and representatives of governments of 30 countries should discuss investment opportunities. Also disclosed will be document Competitiveness Best Practices as applied to the countries that are members of the GFCC: the United States, Brazil, Russia, Egypt, South Korea, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n<p> Mauro Borges Lemos, president of the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI), one of the Brazilian enterprises that was responsible for the creation of the GFCC, said, in a press statement, that the event will be an opportunity to discuss a set of \u201cmetrics for competitiveness\u201d, or ways of evaluating how competitive a nation is.<\/p>\n<p> To Erik Camarano, president of the Brazil Competitive Movement, another GFCC founding member, the event should offer opportunities to discuss strategies for development and methods to promote competitiveness. \u201cWe count on contributions of managers and representatives of national and international organisations to lever competitiveness of the countries involved in the debate,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p> The 2nd Annual Meeting of the GFCC will take place at Hotel Plaza S\u00e3o Rafael, on Avenida Alberto Buns, 514, in the Historical Centre of Porto Alegre.<\/p>\n<p> <b>*Translated by Mark Ament<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Executives and representatives of 30 countries should participate in the Global Federation on Competitiveness Councils, in Porto Alegre.
