S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Starting next Monday (21nd), Brazilian diplomats will take a course on the country\u2019s agribusiness. The action is part of the Brazilian Agribusiness Immersion Program, promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Relations.<\/p>\n
The training will continue until November 30th in the states of S\u00e3o Paulo, Paran\u00e1, Rio Grande do Sul and Mato Grosso do Sul. The goal is to enhance the knowledge base of Brazilian diplomats and thus prepare them to engage in international negotiation. <\/p>\n
A total of 18 Brazilian professionals occupying strategic positions in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas are part of the effort. The schedule includes visits to rural properties beef, poultry and pork processing facilities, and ethanol and wine production facilities. <\/p>\n
The schedule also includes debates with representatives of sector organizations which export Brazilian agribusiness products. \u201cUpdating and expanding knowledge on the agribusiness sector is key to making Brazilian foreign relations more dynamic,\u201d said the secretary of International Agribusiness Relations at the Ministry of Agriculture, C\u00e9lio Porto. <\/p>\n
The action will start with a conversation between the diplomats next Monday, at 11:00 am, and the Brazilian minister of Agriculture, Mendes Ribeiro Filho.<\/p>\n
