S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Jordanian telecommunications operator Umniah by Beyon was honored for supporting women\u2019s participation in the country\u2019s labor market. The company received the 2025 Women\u2019s Employment Award under the Women\u2019s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) organized by UN Women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Umniah by Beyon, the Umniah Ma\u2019an Contact Center\u2014an initiative to open new opportunities for women in provinces with limited employment options\u2014was key to the achievement. The center prioritizes local female talent, creating jobs close to home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement, the company said the initiative reflects Umniah\u2019s belief that empowering women across all provinces of Jordan is essential to building resilient communities and a more inclusive national economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Umniah has been a signatory to the UN Women\u2019s Empowerment Principles since March 2021. The WEPs are a set of global principles developed by the UN Global Compact and UN Women to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women in the workplace and in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The award ceremony took place at the Sheraton Hotel in Amman, and Umniah\u2019s Director of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, Diana Saidi, accepted the award on behalf of the company. In her remarks, she said that the company\u2019s approach in this area goes beyond employment figures. \u201cOur focus is on building a work environment where women feel supported, respected, and able to grow,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
