According to data released Tuesday (27) by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goeic.gov.eg\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade<\/a>, imports rose 5% to USD 83.1 billion. While the country still recorded a trade deficit, the negative balance fell 9% compared to 2024, to USD 34.4 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main non-oil export sectors in 2025 were construction, chemicals and fertilizers, and the food industry. Egypt\u2019s top export destinations were the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Italy, and the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, the Ministry said it aims to place Egypt among the 50 countries with the largest presence in international trade and reach USD 145 billion in annual exports.
