The Arab country\u2019s priority is rehabilitating its railway network, which is essential for trade and economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to information from the ministry, Badr presented strategic projects, including a railway line to transport phosphate from the city of Homs to the port of Tartous. The country holds one of the world\u2019s largest phosphate reserves. Badr also presented another railway line for container transport from the port of Latakia to the Sheikh Najjar dry port in Aleppo. An additional branch line to the border with Turkey was also discussed. All three lines already exist but require investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Syrian state news agency <a href=\"https:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SANA<\/a>, the meeting with the World Bank is part of the Arab country\u2019s efforts to seek international technical and financial support to develop its transport infrastructure.
