The fund was created to reward developing countries that preserve their tropical forests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to WAM, the two leaders reaffirmed their mutual commitment to advancing the partnership to support the development ambitions of their nations and peoples, and reviewed progress in cooperation, particularly in the economic, trade, and development sectors.
