It doesn\u2019t convert currents directly but supports the electronic devices that perform the conversion,\u201d Malveiro said in a statement from Hitachi Energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each generator is designed to operate for over 30 years under various climate conditions. They weigh 342 tons during transport and 512 tons once installed. According to the company, the systems will have a total operating capacity of nine gigawatts, equivalent to the consumption of a city roughly the size of Riyadh, with eight million people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hitachi says that a Saudi team assessed the Brazilian factory\u2019s infrastructure to certify the supply of the transformers, which are exported through the port of Itagua\u00ed in Rio de Janeiro.
