The resources will be turned to the Project for Technical Assistance in the Energy and Mineral Sectors (Meta), coordinated by the Ministry of Mines and Energy. <\/p>\n<p> The objective of the program is to contribute to expansion and consolidation of advances in the Brazilian energy and mining sectors, granting support to competitiveness and to economic and sustainable growth of the country. Among the actions planned by the head office of Brazilian energy companies, monitoring and control of the electric sector, environmental sustainability projects and social insertion, the Light for All programme and alternative energy sources, among others.<\/p>\n<p> Part of the funds &#8211; US$ 49 million \u2013 will come from the World Bank.
