The first results of the survey conducted by the World Food Programme (WFP) were disclosed last Wednesday (14th).<\/p>\n<p> According to the survey, a total of ten million people are somehow affected by lack of food. The figure is equivalent to nearly half the country\u2019s population, which is 22 million. According to WFP spokesperson Abeer Etefa, the problem is more serious in the North of the country, however in the capital Sanaa and the city of Hodeida there are also large numbers of people unable to obtain food.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cThe situation [of these people] is linked to the situation of the country itself,\u201d said Etefa.
