S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Brazilian planemaker Embraer signed a contract to supply up to 20 C-390 Millennium military aircraft to the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, a defense and security entity of the United Arab Emirates. The deal includes a firm order for 10 aircraft and 10 purchase options. Embraer said it is the largest single-country international order for the aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The contract was signed by Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement Secretary-General Nasser Humaid Al Nuaimi and Embraer Defense & Security President & CEO Bosco da Costa Jr., in the presence of UAE Vice President & Deputy Prime Minister Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Embraer President & CEO Francisco Gomes Neto, Embraer said on Monday (4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Embraer said the C-390 Millennium, a multi-mission military transport aircraft, will enable the Armed Forces to carry out a wide range of missions, including cargo and troop transport, airdrop operations, humanitarian assistance, aeromedical evacuation, operations on unpaved runways, and full interoperability with national, allied, and partner forces. The company highlighted the aircraft\u2019s strong alignment with the requirements of modern air forces operating in complex environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the statement, the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement is the national entity responsible for fostering and regulating the UAE\u2019s defense and security industrial ecosystem. It sets the frameworks and conditions needed to support the sector\u2019s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Embraer also signed an agreement with Generation 5 Holding, a UAE defense and technology company, for cooperation around the C-390 Millennium. The deal was signed at the Make It in the Emirates 2026 event in Abu Dhabi and includes Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), after-sales support in the UAE and the Middle East, industrial integration opportunities, training, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
