S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Mauritania\u2019s Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Abdallahi Souleymane Cheikh Sidiy, said during his participation in the African Development Bank\u2019s (AfDB) annual meeting that the country has been making efforts to promote growth through economic reforms. Among the measures he highlighted were infrastructure development, investment in renewable energy, green hydrogen and natural gas, and the attraction of private investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During his visit to Brazzaville, Congo, where the meeting was held, Sidiy also held meetings on the sidelines of the event with institutions that support the country\u2019s development, according to information released on Thursday (28) by the state news agency AMI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In one of the meetings, he met with Ibrahim Adam Ahmed El-Dukheri, director-general of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), to discuss partnerships for Mauritania\u2019s agricultural development. The Arab country already has financing agreements with the AfDB covering sectors such as energy, water, and private-sector support, and also discussed new partnerships aimed at backing national enterprises and job creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
