In the preceding crop, 571.44 million tonnes were harvested. <\/p>\n<p> According to the survey, average yield should increase by 2.9% and the planted area should rise from 8.368 million to 8.567 million hectares as against the last crop.<\/p>\n<p> Sugar production should grow by approximately 5.34%, from 36.88 million tonnes to 38.85 million tonnes. Ethanol production is expected to increase by 4.81% compared with the 22.86 billion litres made from the preceding crop.
