{"id":412792,"date":"2026-06-18T13:21:53","date_gmt":"2026-06-18T16:21:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=412792"},"modified":"2026-06-18T13:22:04","modified_gmt":"2026-06-18T16:22:04","slug":"global-fertilizer-trade-down-30","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/global-fertilizer-trade-down-30\/","title":{"rendered":"Global fertilizer trade down 30%"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Paris \u2013 Global trade in fertilizers crucial to agriculture harvests worldwide have slumped 30% since the start of the year, as the Middle East war sent prices soaring and led several countries to restrict exports, the UN\u2019s Food and Agriculture Organization said Thursday (18).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many farmers have delayed or forgone purchases as supplies tightened with the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz, blocking shipments of the raw materials and liquefied natural gas (LNG) used in fertilizer production.
