S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The fifth weekly flight between Casablanca, Morocco, and S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil, will begin operating on October 28, Royal Air Maroc, the Moroccan airline that operates the route, announced on Friday (19). The company described the news as an acceleration of its plans. At the end of last month, it had announced that the new frequency would be launched by the end of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Royal Air Maroc, the expansion comes at a strategic moment for the market, aligning with the start of the winter season in the Northern Hemisphere and the leisure travel period for Brazilians, while also meeting rising demand ahead of year-end holidays and vacations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn aviation, being able to bring forward additional capacity is always good news for the market and for passengers. We had been working with an implementation planned for by the end of 2026. By starting operations in October, we can serve Brazilian travelers from the very beginning of the international winter season, a period that sees increased demand for connections through Casablanca, especially to Europe,\u201d said Othman Baba, Royal Air Maroc\u2019s Regional Director for South America, in the statement released by the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the expansion, Royal Air Maroc will operate flights from Casablanca to S\u00e3o Paulo\u2019s Guarulhos Airport on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing at 4:35 p.m. and arriving in Brazil at 10:20 p.m. (local time). Flights from Brazil will depart on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 12:25 a.m., arriving in Casablanca at 1:15 p.m. (local time).
