S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The Djazagro food and machinery sector fair that ended on Thursday (26), in Algeria, generated business and contract perspectives for the Brazilian companies participating. The event counted on five national companies, a stand organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/b> and by the embassy of Brazil to Algiers.<\/p>\n
"Participation was very positive,\u201d evaluated Julia Paz, the International Business Executive at the Arab Brazilian Chamber. "There is demand for Brazilian products. It was important for us to have come and participated with the embassy. This has strengthened the Brazil brand,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
The fair generated business while it was going on, as informed by ANBA, and generated perspectives of future contracts. "Some participants had an immediate answer, others made good contacts and should negotiate," said Paz. As examples, she mentions Kepler Weber, a maker of silos for grain. \u201cKepler Weber did not close deals at the fair, but has already received to requests for project design,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
The export analyst at trading company Columbia, Maranata Borges, also had a positive evaluation of the event. "The fair was sensational. We have good business perspectives. We felt very great demand,\u201d she pointed out.<\/p>\n
According to Borges, the trading company is entering the Arab market through Algeria, a country in which it already has clients. From then, the company decided to invest in participation in the fair. "For this reason, and also for the interest we have in the Arab market,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
In the food sector, Columbia exports frozen products, like beef, chicken and fish, as well as peanuts, white beans, powdered milk, condensed milk, soy oil, sardines and tuna. According to Borges, Djazagro generated some ten good contacts for his company.<\/p>\n
Apart from the companies mentioned, other organisations that participated in Djazagro were Baldan, a maker of agricultural machinery and equipment, trading company Pankommerz, slaughterhouse Minerva, as well as the Brazilian Beef Industry and Exporters Association (Abiec).<\/p>\n
