Last year, the country received USD 77 billion in foreign direct investment, up 20.3% from 2024, when it ranked seventh worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among Arab countries, the United Arab Emirates was the leading destination, ranking ninth overall with USD 48 billion in FDI. Saudi Arabia ranked 13<sup>th<\/sup>, receiving USD 33 billion and placing second among Arab countries. The world&#8217;s top FDI destinations were the United States, followed by Singapore, Hong Kong, and China. Rounding out the top 10 after Brazil were the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, the UAE, and Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the report, investment in Brazil was concentrated in renewable energy and natural resources. By contrast, Mexico and India, two other major emerging economies, attracted investment primarily in services, manufacturing, and supply chains. The report also shows that 80% of global FDI in 2025 was directed to the 20 largest recipient countries, highlighting the concentration of investment flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the report, emerging economies maintained their positions, although investment flows remained highly uneven. Asia attracted USD 644 billion in FDI, while Africa received USD 70 billion.
