S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Mubadala Investment and Brazilian planemaker Embraer signed a strategic framework agreement on Tuesday (21) to pursue long-term collaboration across supply, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), human capital development, and research and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The agreement was signed by Amer Siddiqui, Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala’s UAE Investments Platform, and Dimas Douglas Tomelin, Senior Vice President Corporate Strategy, Digital and Innovation, at the Farnborough International Airshow in England, UAE state news agency WAM<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to WAM, workforce development is a cornerstone of the agreement. Embraer and Mubadala will jointly define strategies for talent development and design training programs aimed at strengthening engineering and aerospace capabilities in the United Arab Emirates. The initiatives will include hands-on training, knowledge transfer, and internships or professional placements at Embraer\u2019s facilities for local talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Embraer also announced on Tuesday that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Strata, a Mubadala Investment Company subsidiary, at the air show in England. The agreement establishes a framework to assess Strata\u2019s potential supply of advanced composite aerostructures for Embraer\u2019s commercial aircraft programs.
