Oncocl\u00ednicas specializes in oncology, hematology, and radiotherapy, and established the Saudi venture to provide cancer treatment services in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the statement, Oncocl\u00ednicas said that at a meeting on Tuesday (21), its board of directors approved a proposal from Al Faisaliah Group Holding Company (CJSC) and Advanced Drug Company for Pharmaceuticals, collectively referred to as AFG, to acquire the Brazilian company\u2019s entire stake in the venture. The transaction was valued at USD 6.5 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oncocl\u00ednicas said the sale is aligned with its strategy of streamlining its portfolio, reducing leverage, and focusing on its oncology operations in Brazil. The company also said the transaction will provide immediate liquidity while eliminating its exposure to future capital commitments to SMTC, as well as the operational and foreign exchange risks associated with international business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oncocl\u00ednicas has been facing financial difficulties. In mid-July, the company filed for an out-of-court debt restructuring to reorganize BRL 5.1 billion (USD 1 billion) in liabilities. It reported a net loss of BRL 1.5 billion (USD 295.5 million) last year.
