Re-exports\u2014goods imported into the country and then shipped to other markets\u2014rose an even stronger 31.3% from a year earlier to DT 1.38 billion (USD 1.9 billion). Combined exports and re-exports totaled DT 5.183 billion (USD 7.3 billion), up 11.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raw potash was the country\u2019s standout export, with international sales revenue rising 38.4%. Revenue from nitrogen fertilizers and other chemical fertilizers increased 15.3%, while apparel and accessories posted a 1.2% gain. The figures are based on export revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, Jordan&#8217;s trade deficit narrowed 17.1% to DT 3.011 billion (USD 4.2 billion). The decline was also driven by a 1% drop in imports. Jordan imported goods worth DT 8.194 billion (USD 11.5 billion) between January and May.
