{"id":414873,"date":"2026-08-03T14:51:53","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T17:51:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=414873"},"modified":"2026-08-03T14:52:06","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T17:52:06","slug":"morocco-welcomes-14-more-brazilian-tourists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/morocco-welcomes-14-more-brazilian-tourists\/","title":{"rendered":"Morocco welcomes 14% more Brazilian tourists"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong> \u2013 Between January and June this year, 30,132 Brazilians visited Morocco, representing a 14% increase compared to the 26,545 who traveled to the North African country during the same period last year, according to data from the Moroccan National Tourist Office (<a href=\"https:\/\/onmt.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ONMT<\/a>, by its French acronym). In June alone, 4,180 Brazilians traveled to Morocco, up 5% from June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brazil ranks as Morocco\u2019s 20th-largest source market for international tourism in a list led by France, followed by Spain, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States. Overall, Morocco welcomed 9.3 million tourists in the first six months of the year, a 6% increase compared to the same period in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Data from the ONMT\u2019s regional office for Brazil also show that the main gateway for Brazilian tourists to Morocco is Casablanca Airport, which receives direct flights operated by Royal Air Maroc. A significant number of Brazilian travelers also arrive via the city of Marrakech on flights operated by European airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Morocco has been investing in attracting tourists from Brazil, a market regarded as having strong growth potential beyond the country&#8217;s traditional European source markets. Moroccan flag carrier Royal Air Maroc is expanding the frequency of its flights to Brazil after resuming operations between Casablanca and S\u00e3o Paulo\u2019s Guarulhos International Airport in 2024.
