The report was completed by the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), according to state news agency <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bna.bh\/en\/DerasatdeliverscomprehensivestrategicstudytoAlbaonenergytransitionanddecarbonisation.aspx?cms=q8FmFJgiscL2fwIzON1%2bDnUGgNnTFCPvb2nxUQ5zyQU%3d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BNA<\/a> published on Tuesday (11). Derasat is a Bahrain-based think tank that develops solutions to regional and international challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the BNA report, the study, \u201cPathways for Alba&#8217;s Energy Transition and Decarbonization,\u201d provides insights to support Alba\u2019s decision-making on energy diversification, operational and financial resilience, and long-term competitiveness, with practical recommendations to advance its emissions reduction goals while safeguarding the reliability of energy supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using advanced modeling and scenario-based analysis, the study evaluates pathways for Alba through 2050, examining how evolving energy sources, contractual structures, and emerging technologies could affect operating costs, carbon footprint, and energy security amid changes in global LNG markets and shifting fuel market dynamics in Bahrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alba CEO Ali Al Baqali said the study serves as a valuable roadmap for the company\u2019s sustainable growth and long-term resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe study&#8217;s recommendations reinforce our commitment to improving energy efficiency, diversifying energy sources, and reducing our carbon footprint.
