S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Rio de Janeiro will host the second Brazilian edition of the UAE-founded Zayed Charity Run on August 23. The race raises funds for charitable causes while awarding prizes to participants. In the Rio edition, all registration fees will be donated, and BRL 500,000 (USD 97,000) in prize money will be distributed to competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to state news agency WAM, the race will bring together professional and amateur athletes, as well as 50 runners from the United Arab Emirates.
