S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 This Tuesday (29th), a delegation of businessmen from the Dubai Exports agency negotiated with Brazilian enterprises at a meeting promoted in S\u00e3o Paulo by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce <\/b>. <\/p>\n
Emirates Airline is participating to offer its air freight services. The company\u2019s sales executive in Brazil, Mileni Manzanato, met with a representative of Terra Brasilis, a supplier of cosmetics kits to hotels and hospitals. According to her, the Brazilian company exports by sea and is seeking a new option. \u201cThey cater to the hotel industry, which requires lower volumes, and so they want to start using air transport,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The logistics company Santos Bay, based in Santos, in the state of S\u00e3o Paulo, was also in attendance aiming to get in touch with Emirates. \u201cWe are closing partnerships with foreign cargo transport companies so we can expand our market presence,\u201d said the company\u2019s managing director Alexandre Zebinato. \u201cWe may use Emirates\u2019 routes. I believe cargo to and from Asia is the most viable. They also have a flight that connects in Frankfurt and we have products that come in from Europe, so we could bring the cargo to Brazil,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The Arab company Micro Automation manufactures a voltage regulator line called Powermatic, which protects electrical devices and prevents waste. Hazim Al-Hilaj, the company\u2019s managing director, believes he can strike good deals in Brazil. \u201cWe are introducing our products and the people were impressed with our degree of innovation, \u201che said. \u201cOur product is innovative and there is no competition. We are targeting South American countries,\u201d he said. The devices are microchip-controlled.<\/p>\n
S\u00e9rgio Campos, the owner of company SLC Importa\u00e7\u00e3o e Exporta\u00e7\u00e3o, was one of the Brazilian businessmen who spoke with Hilaj. \u201cMy goal here is to try and sign [an agreement] for distribution or representation, I am here to meet people in order to check whether that is possible,\u201d he said. He believes there is a good chance he will establish a partnership with Micro Automation. \u201cI believe we might close a deal.\u201d <\/p>\n
The mission from Dubai also includes representatives of Shelfco Metal Industries, of the Diamond Line hotel items company, and of the fire equipment company Naffco. The mission is led by Saed Mohamed Al Awadi, the CEO of Dubai Exports.<\/p>\n
