S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The S\u00e3o Paulo-based trading company Braseco is setting up good deals at the Project Lebanon fair, which began last Tuesday (5th) in Beirut. The company is attending the event together with six other Brazilian enterprises at a stand organized by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Relations and the Brazilian Embassy in Beirut, with backing from the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Braseco is representing three Brazilian brands at the event: Duratex, a manufacturer of wood planks for furniture; Madeireira Uliana, a maker of doors, windows, jambs and sills; and Rudinick, a maker of household and office furniture.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have received quotation requests for doors by Uliana and material by Duratex. Some of the potential clients have even informed the amount they want to buy,\u201d says Braseco director Damaris Costa. \u201cOrders are usually not placed at fairs, but I believe that the follow-up (of these contacts) will yield results,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n
She also praised the visitors at Project Lebanon. \u201cThe level of visitors is quite interesting. Most are architects and many are architecture students,\u201d she says. <\/p>\n
To Costa, Lebanon is a \u201cdemanding and sophisticated market.\u201d Still, she says the Lebanese are interested in buying products from brands which are present in their country. \u201cIn order to sell, you must have a distributor here,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n
Other brands represented at the Brazilian stand are Astra, KRJ, Portobello, C3 Equipamentos, Saniram and Universo Tintas. The fair will continue until Friday (8th).<\/p>\n
