S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Control systems and electrical engineer Aws Alnabulsi, 35, achieved a goal two years ago: moving to S\u00e3o Paulo. The son of Palestinian parents, he was born in Jordan, where he lived until he was four, before moving to Nablus, Palestine, where he remained until college. He later worked in Silicon Valley, where he spent seven years. He is the founder and CEO of technology startup Coretava<\/a>, which uses artificial intelligence to expand its clients\u2019 marketing efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alnabulsi told ANBA that he was living in San Francisco, California, when he decided it was time to move and explore other places. His first stop was Santiago, the Chilean capital, in 2019. But even before leaving the United States, he had already decided that he would live in S\u00e3o Paulo after spending some time in Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His interest in Brazil began while he was still in the United States. He had the opportunity to work with Brazilian company VTEX, which develops customer relationship and marketplace platforms, among other activities. At an event hosted by the company, he saw the potential of the Brazilian market for developing digital solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cChile is a small country, very good for starting a technology company, but Brazil is better in terms of scale and size,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He brought Coretava to Brazil, a San Francisco-based startup that develops systems to support marketing campaigns. The company\u2019s latest investment is TavyoOS, a platform that uses artificial intelligence to help users develop media and promotional campaigns for their products and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coretava describes it as the \u201cfirst AI revenue operator in the market,\u201d capable of bringing together tools for companies to manage activities such as sales, customer service and loyalty programs. Tavyo has consumed USD 4 million. The company is now expanding and is seeking USD 5 million to invest in technology and growth, preferably within the Latin American market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite being focused on investment and the growth of his company, Alnabulsi maintains close ties with Palestine. Coretava has 11 employees at its S\u00e3o Paulo office, 10 working from home in Palestine, and one each in Mexico, Chile and Peru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNow, the employees in Palestine are working remotely. They cannot go to the office and work from home,\u201d he said. \u201cI hire Palestinian professionals to help people. And working with the Brazilian team is positive. The cultures are very similar. There is a lot of diversity here, and many Arabs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
