S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The growth of Brazil and the vanity of Brazilians are among the reasons bringing cosmetics producer Ard Guisser to the country. The company director, Moustapha Chahboun, is in S\u00e3o Paulo this week to visit possible importers of products like argan oil, which is used in moisturizing hair cream.<\/p>\n
\u201cBrazil is still an infant. It is a country with 200 million inhabitants, with growing buying power, with many people studying, with great potential. It is a growing country and is becoming a power. So, why not come here?,\u201d said Chahboun on Tuesday (21), while visiting the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Currently, according to the executive, argan oil sold in the country is dissolved and does not have the same effect as that made by his company. Ard Guisser also develops fragrances for perfume made from camomile, oregano and verbena, among other natural essences. The herbs and plants are imported from neighbouring countries, like Egypt. Argan oil, in turn, comes from trees found in Morocco. <\/p>\n
Chahboun contacted Brazilian companies to sell his product here. Different from other businessmen, he does not find that the cost of freight and Brazilian taxes stunt Ard Guisser\u2019s entry in Brazil.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis country currently has the fifth main economy in the world and that is no surprise. I do not feel that taxes stunt my chances for business here,\u201d he said. The executive added that if the company can export to Brazil, in future it may import raw material from the country to develop its own products. The economy of Brazil is currently truly the sixth largest in the world.<\/p>\n
Ard Guisser is a company in the Phytotagante group, and belongs to Chahboun\u2019s brother. The company has two factories in Morocco, one in Madagascar, one in Tunisia and another in Argentina. Among the company clients are the North American Organic Infusions and the German Weleda.<\/p>\n
