According to the ministry, the volume shipped is in keeping with forecasts for this year.

Maize is crucial to poultry and pork farming. For that reason, whenever the supply of maize declines, prices rise and end up causing the cost of poultry and pork meat to increase as well. According to figures released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade last Monday (3rd), maize exports in August were up 81% from August 2011.

According to the ministry, current inventories, coupled with the current crop output, are expected to add up to a combined 78 million tonnes of maize this year. Nationwide consumption in the 2011/2012 crop has been estimated at approximately 50 million tonnes by the National Supply Company (Conab, in the Portuguese acronym). According to the ministry, even factoring in total exports at 15 million tonnes, the country will still end the year with the highest-ever inventory level, at roughly 13 million tonnes.

*Translated by Gabriel Pomerancblum

According to the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, the record high sales to foreign countries in August do not pose a threat to the country’s domestic supplies.

[102

0":"post-42505","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-agribusiness
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, the record high sales to foreign countries in August do not pose a threat to the country’s domestic supplies.
["GET
