Last month, shipments totalled US$ 8.8 billion, a reduction of 10.5% over August 2011.<\/p>\n<p> According to the ministry, the products with the greatest weight in the accumulated result for the year were the soy complex, with exports of US$ 21.4 billion, meats (US$ 10 billion), sugar and alcohol (US$ 7.8 billion), forestry products (US$ 6 billion) and coffee (US$ 4.1 billion).<\/p>\n<p> The items that registered the greatest growth in foreign sales were fibres and textile products, with growth of 62.5%, live animals (53.4%), the soy complex (20.3%), beverages (17%) and tobacco (16.1%).<\/p>\n<p> Over the last 12 months, agribusiness shipments totalled US$ 96 billion, growth of 8.8% over the previous 12 months. Exports to China were the ones that grew most, 46.1% in the same comparison.
