S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 European aircraft maker Airbus delivered on Tuesday (4) an A330-200 aircraft to Iraqi Airways. This is the first aircraft of the model in the fleet of the state-owned airline of Iraq and will be used in routes to Germany, Austria and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n
According to information disclosed by Airbus, the model delivered has capacity for transport of 264 passengers in economy class and 24 in executive. The general manager at the airline, Saad Mahdi Saeed Al-Khajafi, said that the aircraft will make it possible for the company to increase the volume of international routes while offering \u201chigh quality service\u201d to a growing number of passengers.<\/p>\n
The head of operations at Airbus, in turn, John Leahy, said that the airline will benefit from the \u201cproven trustworthiness\u201d of this model and of its low cost. Apart from this aircraft, Iraqi Airways flies two units of the A321 model, which is smaller and used mainly on short-distance routes.<\/p>\n
