S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The future of renewable energy, its economic and investment challenges should be the theme of the sixth edition of the World Future Energy Summit, an event scheduled to take place from January 15th to 17th, 2013, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The event is an initiative of the government of the Arab country.<\/p>\n
The summit should bring together 600 exhibitors in the sectors of production, installation and integration of products in the renewable energy chain, with companies turned to solar and wind energy, biofuels and geothermal and hydroelectric power. The event should also include exhibitors in the areas of technology, like producers of intelligent energy grids, energy storage, water and fuel cells, efficient energy and advanced transportation.<\/p>\n
In the three days of the event, there will also be conferences with important names in the sector in governments, private companies and international agencies who will discuss policies and resources for clean energy.<\/p>\n
Among the main names participating in the debates are Abbas Al Naqi, secretary general at the Organization of the Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (Oapec); Loic Fauchon, chairman of the World Water Council; Richard Kauffman, senior councillor of the United States Energy Department; Heinz Kopet, president of the World Bioenergy Association; Stefan Singh, secretary general at the World Wind Energy Association, and Maria van der Hoeven, executive director of the International Energy Agency.<\/p>\n
