The event will be held in the country\u2019s capital, Tunis, and will address topics such as diversity, justice, democracy, free movement and the building of a world without hegemonies, among other issues. <\/p>\n<p> Groups willing to participate may suggest activities on the forum\u2019s website up until January 20. The activities must be in keeping with one of eleven thematic axes which comprise the meeting. <\/p>\n<p> Brazilian organizations which have suggested activities include the Brazilian Solidary Economics Forum, the Union of Black People for Equality, the Brazilian Male and Female Workers Central, the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) in Goi\u00e1s, the Federal University of the State of Goi\u00e1s, the Brazilian Social and Economic Analysis Institute (Ibase), the Perseu Abramo Foundation, the Research Network for Nanotechnology, Society and the Environment, the Federal University of Ouro Preto, the National Pharmaceutical Workers Federation, and NGO Primatas da Montanha.<\/p>\n<p> This will be the World Social Forum\u2019s first edition in an Arab country. The event was created in 2001, in the city of Porto Alegre, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and has had editions in India, Venezuela and Kenya.
