S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Dubai\u2019s Emirates Airline, has announced this Thursday (24th) the purchase of three new Boeing 777F aircraft. The airline should also receive another unit of the same model in March. <\/p>\n
The new units will increase the fleet to 11 units. Presently, the company\u2019s freighter fleet flies to 12 final destinations: Taipei, in Taiwan; Chitagong, in Bangladesh; Eldoret, in Kenya; Lilongwe, in Malawi; Kabul, in Afghanistan; Almaty, in Kazakhstan; Gothenburg, in Sweden; Zaragoza, in Spain; Campinas, in Brazil; Tripoli, in Libya; Djibouti, in Djibouti; and Li\u00e8ge, in Belgium. According to the Emirates SkyCargo senior vice president Ram Menem, the fleet expansion allows the company to offer its customers increased flexibility and added routes. <\/p>\n
The Boeing 777F can carry up to a 103 tonne payload, and a flight range of up to 9,070 kilometres. Emirates SkyCargo offers three weekly flights to the Viracopos airport, in Campinas, with stops in Dakar, Senegal, and Frankfurt, Germany.<\/p>\n
