S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Company Natural Alimentos, from S\u00e3o Paulo, aims to import olive oil from Tunisia. The company already buys 300 tonnes a month from Spain, Portugal and Argentina, and aims to diversity suppliers. Part of the olive oil imported by the company comes bottled and with the company label and the other part is bought in bulk and bottled locally. Natural has two own olive oil brands: Tondela and Lisboa. <\/p>\n
According to Santos, as well as importing olive oil from Tunisia, the company aims to increase its production of the oil. "Our plan is to reach 500 tonnes, or even double that,\u201d says the manager.<\/p>\n
Apart from olive oil, Natural Alimentos also aims to import olives from the Arab country. Currently, the company buys 150 tonnes of the oleaginous fruit per month, from Argentina and Peru. <\/p>\n
According to Santos, the company has no restrictions regarding the number of suppliers of olive oil and olives in Tunisia. According to him, the company is open to importing other food products that the country may offer. \u201cThe Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is working on a research to show us other products,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
In January, Natural Alimentos became an Arab Brazilian Chamber associate and started receiving the support of the organisation\u2019s commercial team to prospect business in the Arab markets.<\/p>\n
Natural Alimentos also sells pickles, sauces, tomato products, soy and canola oil, vinegar, grated coconut and coconut milk. Most of the products are made from imported foods.<\/p>\n
