S\u00e3o Paulo – Bunge Brasil inaugurated on Friday (8) its first biodiesel factory in the country, in Nova Mutum, Mato Grosso. According to information disclosed by the company, the unit received investment of R$ 60 million (US$ 30 million) and should produce 150,000 cubic metres of the product a year. The company already produces biodiesel in Germany and the United States, as well as Europe, through partnerships.<\/p>\n
The enterprise will partner with small-scale farmers, as part of the soy used to produce this biodiesel will come from these farmers. Currently, the company purchase 150,000 tonnes of the oleaginous seed from around 10,000 family farms, through cooperatives. The company should be operated by 20 specialized employees and will count on the work of over 60 people, indirectly. <\/p>\n
