A total of 283,900 vehicles were licensed in Brazil last month, as against 235,100 in February. In comparison with March last year, when trade totalled 300,600 vehicles, however, there was a 5.5% drop.<\/p>\n<p>In the first quarter of last year, vehicle sales recorded growth of 1.5% in comparison with the same period in 2012. From January to March this year, 830,500 units were licensed, against 818,400 sold in the first three months of last year.<\/p>\n<p>Vehicle production also grew, 39.2%. Production was 89,800 units higher in March than in February, when production had totalled 229,300. In comparison with March last year, the growth was smaller, 3.4%.
