The volume represents 11% growth over production in the previous cycle, when the country picked 588.92 million tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>The total estimate for the cultivated area rose from 8.485 million to 8.893 million hectares. According to Conab, the percentage for recovery of average production of the crops is 5.9%, due to &ldquo;renewal of 968,380 mil hectares and to normalisation of climate conditions that favour sugarcane crops, mainly in the Centre-South region.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>According to the study, production of sugar and ethanol seems well situated. In the case of sugar, growth of 13.61% is estimated. With this, production should rise from 38.34 million tonnes to 43.56 million tonnes.
