The Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), Fundação Eliseu Alves and Calderon Consulting are due to sign the partnership this Thursday (11th) at Embrapa’s Solos (Soils) unit in Rio de Janeiro.

"Organominerals promote sustainability in agricultural production by promoting a reduction of up to 10% in the use of chemical fertilizers, boosting microbial action and making more nutrients available in the soil. The fertilizer yield is also 15% higher than those regularly used by farmers,” says Embrapa Solos researcher Vinicius Benites.

In the partnership, Calderon Consulting will be in charge of manufacturing plants’ production, and Embrapa will take care of organomineral fertilizer technology transfer. There are some initiatives underway in Brazil for making this fertilizer variety, especially by cooperatives concerned with reusing residue from animal raising enterprises by its associates to obtain easy-access fertilizer.

*Translated by Gabriel Pomerancblum

A partnership between Brazil’s Agricultural Corporation, Fundação Eliseu Alves and Calderon Consulting should enable implementation of plants to make organomineral fertilizers, made from poultry and swine residue.

[102

0":"post-44454","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-agribusiness
A partnership between Brazil’s Agricultural Corporation, Fundação Eliseu Alves and Calderon Consulting should enable implementation of plants to make organomineral fertilizers, made from poultry and swine residue.
["GET
