The objective is to strengthen economic and trade relations between Morocco and the member countries of the GCC (which includes Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Oman).<\/p>\n<p>Apart from participation of authorities from the countries participating, there should also be representatives of the private sector in these nations. Some 120 companies from the GCC and 250 from Morocco are expected, in sectors like tourism, energy, transportation, logistics, real estate, agriculture and food.<\/p>\n<p>In 2011, Morocco started talks with the countries of the GCC to join the bloc, a request also made by Jordan.
