The schedule for Friday includes a meeting with the Palestinian Health minister Hani Abdeen, in Ramallah. The Brazilian will also visit the area&rsquo;s health reference centre. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We are already engaged in medical cooperation with Palestina, and we are backing their healthcare system as a means of contributing to their development,&rdquo; said Padilha, according to a statement from the Brazilian ministry. <\/p>\n<p>On Saturday (4th), Padilha will inaugurate a medical centre in Hebron, built with a US$ 1 million donation from the Brazilian government. According to information from the ministry, Brazil has donated US$ 10 million to the government of Palestine for support and humanitarian aid, to be invested in education, professionalization, agriculture and healthcare. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;To Brazil, health is a bridge for cooperation between peoples that bears a palpable outcome. The improved quality of healthcare services and increased access to medication and treatment is a continuous effort from the Ministry of Health, and the target of our international action,&rdquo; said, in another press release, Alberto Kleiman, the head of International Advisory at the Ministry of Health.
