The volume was down 1.7% from April. Including operations by the company&rsquo;s partners, output stood at 1.942 million barrels per day. <\/p>\n<p>Total output, including oil and natural gas, amounted to 2.267 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, down 2.1% from April. Factoring in partner companies&rsquo; operations, the volume was 2.359 million barrels. Counting Petrobras&rsquo; activities abroad, the output was 2.5 million barrels, down 2% from April. <\/p>\n<p>In May, Petrobras achieved a production record in the pre-salt area, at 322,100 barrels of oil extracted on the 18th. The volume was up 11,000 from the previous record, which was 311,500 barrels on April 17th this year. Output was also a record in the state of Esp&iacute;rito Santo, at an average of 322,700 per day in May.
