According to the Central Bank of Brazil&rsquo;s monthly research (BC), the estimate for expansion of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the sum of all the country&rsquo;s production of goods and services, dropped 2.28% to 2.24%, this year. For 2014, the forecast was maintained at 2.60%.<\/p>\n<p>The estimate for expansion of industrial production fell from 2.10% to 2% in 2013 and was maintained at 3% in 2014. The estimate for financial institutions for the trade surplus (positive difference between exports and imports) fell from US$ 5.7 billion to US$ 5.09 billion for this year and from US$ 8.92 billion to US$ 8 billion in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>For the deficit in current account transactions (Brazil&rsquo;s purchase and sales of goods and services abroad), the estimate climbed from US$ 76.15 billion to US$ 76.3 billion in 2013 and from US$ 79.5 billion to US$ US$ 80 billion in 2014.
